Sucks but doesn’t actually suck anything out
Poor suction and doesn’t come with a lid which is pretty crap! Buy the let down cup from The Memo instead. Much better.

Works for this new twin mumma
I'm brand new to motherhood and pumping, however have been placing this on the opposite breast that I have my pump on, and can often collect more in this than my pump can. It has helped me so much in collecting extra milk which is desperately needed after a c-section and pre-eclampsia with my twins birth that has slowed my milk production.

Perfect for new mamas struggling with mastitis
I got this product as a recommendation of our maternal nurse. I had mastitis on one of my breasts and I used it w/ epsom salts and warm water to ease the discomfort and unblock the milk ducts. I have tried to use it as a milk colector, not very successful, nothing to do with the effectiveness of this product but a problem on my behalf. Anyway, it is a very handy tool if new mamas are dealing with mastitis or engorgement. Just make sure to attach it properly so that it's not painful nor uncomfortable. There are helpful videos on YouTube for this.

Best for let down !
Have compared this to other brands and by far superior On one brand can only get 20ml with this I get twice as much. Fits securely and stays put through baby's kicks

Wish i got to this sooner
So easy to use compared to my electric “portable” breast pumps that had a myriad of attachments. I stopped using that and switched to the Haakaa. With a newborn, i have no time to fumble with that especially when it comes to cleaning. I’m an “ease-of-use” kinda gal and i’m glad i got this to catch heavy letdown and staying milk without overproducing milk supply

If you don’t have one get one
Best item to pop on when feeding on one breast to collect leakage. Helped production immensely

The Haakaa Breast Pump is great for long distance trips, planes, car rides, family bbqs or anywhere you would like to express silently and quickly. just place over your breast and let the pump do the work for you as it draws your milk using suction.
Adult use only.
How to use your Haakaa Breast Pump :
1) Sterilise your pump using the directions provided
2) Place the pump flange over your nipple – make sure your nipple is centred comfortably in the neck of the pump.
3) Apply suction – you may need to adjust the position of your pump a couple of times. once the pump is secure and comfortable, apply suction by squeezing the base of the pump to start the flow of milk.
4) Once milk begins to flow, simply leave the pump alone to do its thing!
5) When the pump is full, empty into a safe storage container and reposition.
6) If the flow of milk slows or you've expressed your desired amount, simply stick the suction base to a flat surface while you finish your feeding or redress.
Tips: encourage let-down by placing a warm flannel on top of your breast and massaging gently. While your child is feeding, attach your Haakaa pump to the other breast to catch precious milk that would otherwise be lost in a nursing pad.
