Common Questions

The minimum deposit to secure a layby is 25% of your purchase total, plus a $5.00 non-refundable service fee (unless you're a BBfamily member, in which case you enjoy fee-free layby). For more information including fees, payment schedules and cancellations, please see layby details. 

 

Your $10 welcome reward is for your next purchase and will be applied to your account 24 hours after joining. This reward can be redeemed in any Baby Bunting store, or on our website (you need to log in first). You will only receive 1 x $10 welcome reward per member lifetime.

 

If your welcome reward is not visit visible 24 hours after you have logged into your online account, please call, live chat or email us for assistance. 

 

New Appointment

To book a car seat installation or turnaround appointment, you can select a time slot online or in person by visiting the store you wish to get your seat installed at. Note, this service is not available at a Baby Bunting Junior store.

Existing Appointment

To edit or cancel an existing booking, simply find your email confirming your appointment and select to manage your booking from there.

If the change is within 24 hours of the appointment time, please call the store your booking is with or, contact us during opening hours.

Gift Registry FAQ

1. Log in or create an account and select Create a new Gift Registry in your Gift Registry account list. Add the name, date and description of your event.

2. Start browsing our wide range online or in-store, adding products you love and need to your list.

3. When you're ready to share your list, send a link to your family and friends by selecting Share my registry in your gift registry account. Don't forget to include your registry ID number in your event invitation.

4. Enjoy your celebrations!

After creating your event, you can add items online or at your local store. We recommend adding a mix of prices, quantities and products you love and need. Note, an online only item won't be available to view (or purchase) in a store.

Online: Browse our range and gift registry guides online. Select a product you like and choose Add to gift registry. Our Live Chat is available Monday to Saturday 9am – 5pm AEST if you need any help.

Store: Visit your local store, browse the shelves and when you see an item you like, type the product name or code into the Baby Bunting website search bar on your personal device, select it then tap Add to gift registry. (If you can't see this option, make sure you're logged into your account). If you need any guidance during your visit, our friendly team members are there for you.

Alternatively, you can write in a notebook or take photos of all the products you like and when you're at home and comfortable on the couch, add them to your gift registry list.

Pricing and products are not locked or reserved when added to a gift registry.

Any product you add may be affected by promotions and product supply, including sale and clearance. The price and availability will always be current on the day you view a product, and this simply may be different to the day you added it.

If an item is no longer available (we let you know on your gift registry list), we recommend choosing an alternative gift to add for guests to purchase.

Yes, you can! Products sold and shipped by third-party marketplace sellers are now available to add to your gift registry list. Guests can purchase these for delivery only.

Important note: Any item(s) sold and shipped by a marketplace seller are online only and won't be available to view or return in a Baby Bunting store. Each seller has their own delivery and returns policies.

Currently, no. Sometimes we have package deals available for a specific and short promotional period which is why a bundle cannot be added to your list.

Tip: If a bundle or package is available at the same time you have shared your event, you can add each item individually that forms the bundle to your registry list and if a guest purchases all items (and the promotion is current) the bundle discount will automatically apply at checkout.

With a registry ID, you can find a registry list through our online search function or at your local Baby Bunting store with an option to print* the list.

If the event is private, guests can only access the gift registry list if a link is shared with them directly or, with a registry ID number in a store.

*Prices and availability of products will be current at the time of printing which can differ from the day you visit a store.

Currently, guests cannot automatically send a gift directly to the recipient. If they would like to send a gift direct or if they live overseas, we suggest contacting the recipient for their details.

If a registrant chooses to add any personal details in their event description, we recommend selecting a private event in the privacy settings.

You can keep track of which gifts have been purchased so far with the Thank you list in your Gift Registry Account. This is also handy to look at after your event.

Guests will also see which products and quantities have already been purchased off your list and which gifts are left to buy.

In addition to your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law,  with a gift receipt or proof of gift purchase on your Thank you list; you can return an item sold by Baby Bunting to any of our stores in Australia or submit a Return Request Form for an exchange or store credit only, provided the item meets our Change of Mind Returns Policy. 

An item sold by athird-partymarketplace seller cannot be returned to a Baby Bunting store and a Baby Bunting store credit is not applicable. Each seller has their own returns policy and a refund can only be provided back to the same payment method used for the original transaction (in other words, back to the guest who purchased the gift).

You can set-up and purchase from a gift registry at every Baby Bunting store in Australia except at our Baby Bunting Junior stores.

Gift Card FAQ

You can use your Gift Card* for full or partial payment during checkout. Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to Step 3: Payment during the checkout process.
  2. Click + Redeem a Gift Card at the top of the Payment Options section.
  3. Enter your Gift Card number (you’ll find this on the back of the card or in your email if sent a Digital Gift Card).
  4. Click Apply.
  5. If you're not using the full amount, you can also check your remaining balance while you're there.

*Note: Gift Cards cannot be redeemed on items sold and delivered by marketplace sellers. If your cart includes both marketplace and Baby Bunting items, a gift card cannot be applied. 

Yes, you can enter your email address as the "Recipient's Email" to receive the details and Gift Card directly so that you can print it out or forward it to the gift recipient.

Note: some business or government email accounts (eg .gov, .edu, .edumail, etc.) have firewall settings that can block our emails from coming through. We would highly recommend sending the Digital Gift Card to a personal email address instead.

Baby Bunting Gift Cards are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase or issue. 

Yes, each Gift Card can be loaded with a maximum value of $500 (and a minimum value of $5). If you require a higher amount, multiple Gift Cards can be purchased in a single transaction.

If you choose to send a Digital Gift Card immediately, it will typically land in your recipient's email inbox within 10 minutes of purchase.  

If you have scheduled a date to send the Digital Gift Card, it will arrive in the recipient's inbox at 9:00am AEDT on your nominated date.   

Gift Cards can be used multiple times until the card value reaches $0.00 or the card expires, whichever comes first. You can check the balance of the Gift Card at the payment step at checkout.  

Yes – you can add multiple Digital Gift Cards to your cart and have them sent to the same or different recipient. If you're in-store, you can purchase multiple Gift Cards at the counter.

Baby Bunting Gift Cards can be redeemed at any Baby Bunting store or on our website.

Digital Gift Cards usually arrive at the recipient’s inbox within 10 minutes of purchase. If the recipient hasn't received the Digital Gift Card after checking their spam or junk folder, please contact the Customer Care Team through Live Chat or on 1300 422 292 and they can re-send the information to the same or different email address.

An Australian Gift Card cannot be used in New Zealand. We recommend purchasing a New Zealand Digital Gift Card here.

Yes, Gift Cards can be used to make layby payments in-store.

If you are a large group or corporation looking to purchase a large quantity of Baby Bunting Gift Cards, please contact our Customer Care team on 1300 422 292 for further assistance.

Unfortunately, Gift Cards cannot be used on items sold by marketplace sellers. Please note, if your cart includes both marketplace and Baby Bunting items, a gift card or voucher still cannot be applied. 

We currently don’t offer custom themes for personalisation. However, you can select from one of the designs provided to suit the occasion and add a gift message. If you have made a spelling mistake, don’t worry, you can edit the message in your cart summary. Your chosen theme and message will appear in the email your recipient receives.   

Online:

To convert your card to use on the Baby Bunting website, please visit the TCN website and follow the prompts. If you have any issues converting the card, please call TCN team 1300 375 346

In-store:

1.Simiply present your gift card at the participating location

2.Swipe at the EFTPOS terminal and select 'Savings'

3.Enter the four-digit pin on the back of the card and you're done

Click & Collect FAQ

Step 1: On a product page, select Click & Collect, choose your store and add your item to cart. After completing your payment, you will receive an order confirmation.

Step 2: When your order is ready to collect from your chosen store, you will receive an email or SMS notification.

Step 3: Click the link in your notification when you leave home to let us know you're on your way. Don't forget your photo ID so we can make sure your order goes to the right home.

Step 4: When you arrive at the collection point at your selected Baby Bunting store, use the same link in step 3 to let us know you have arrived. Our team will verify both your collection pin number and photo ID, then bring your order directly to you.

Pick up is available from any of our Baby Bunting stores across Australia. Find and set your preferred store here.

The service is free!

Once you finalise payment at check-out, you will receive an order confirmation over email which will contain your order number and order details.

Once your order is ready for collection, you will receive a ‘Ready for Collection’ email or SMS if selected.

You will need to take your ‘Ready for Collection’ email which has your collection pin number alongside your photo identification (current Australian Driver's License, Australian Passport or Keypass) to your nominated store. 

Yes, you can nominate someone (a proxy) to collect the order on your behalf. In order to collect the goods, they will be required to bring along a copy of the ‘Ready for Collection’ email along with their photo identification (current Australian Driver's License, Australian Passport or Keypass).

Each Baby Bunting store has a designated Click & Collect area. Please head into your nominated store and speak with one of our team members who will be able to assist you with your order.

Unfortunately, we do not offer a Click & Collect service for Marketplace orders. Products sold through a Marketplace seller are online only and unavailable for collection from a Baby Bunting store.

Baby Bunting will hold the goods for pick up at the nominated store for fourteen (14) days from the date of the “Ready for Collection” notification sent to you by email or SMS. After fourteen (14) days Baby Bunting may cancel your order and refund any money paid in respect of that order.

Same Day Delivery FAQ

This delivery service brings baby and parent essentials, along with last-minute gifts, right to your doorstep the same day you need them.

 

Available every day of the week, you can place an eligible order before 12pm for same day delivery by 5pm. Orders placed after the cutoff can be scheduled for a next day delivery.

 

If your order is $50 or over, the cost of Same Day or Scheduled delivery is $14.95. For orders under $50, the cost of delivery is $19.95.

Yes, there is a minimum spend of $10, after rewards and coupons are applied (the maximum spend is $2000).

Yes, there are some restrictions that apply for this delivery service - see below:

15km Delivery Area: Your address must be within a 15 km deliverable radius from a participating Baby Bunting store.

Minimum spend: A minimum spend of $10 apply (after rewards and coupons). The maximum spend is $2000).

Weight and Volume Restrictions: Your order package cannot exceed 20 kg (44 lbs) or have a total volume of 2m³ and must fit comfortably in a standard car.

Item Exclusions: The delivery service is not available for items sold by marketplace sellers or listed as ‘online only’, gift cards and big & heavy items (e.g. cots, nursery chairs, drawers).

If your address or item(s) are outside the restrictions or there are excluded items sold by Baby Bunting in your cart, a same day delivery option won’t be available at checkout.

Same Day delivery is available at participating Baby Bunting stores across Australia.

Please note: Our stores in Belmont (Western Australia) and Chadstone Shopping Centre (Victoria) are currently excluded from this service.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to change the delivery address once your online order has been confirmed. Please double check that your delivery address is correct before paying and submitting your order. 

You can find your tracking link in your order confirmation email and in your order history in your Baby Bunting account. Additionally, you will receive an SMS with a tracking link to help you follow your delivery.

For orders under $250, we have permission to leave your package at your doorstep without requiring a signature.

If your delivery address is a business or if your order totals $250 or more, someone must be available to receive the package, as it cannot be left unattended. In this case, you may need to provide a 4-digit PIN to the driver that will be sent to you via confirmation SMS or email.

Provided you meet our Change of Mind Returns Policy, you can return your order delivered through this service to any Baby Bunting store in Australia. If you are unable to visit a store, you can submit an online return with a small return postage fee.

Car Seat Installation FAQ

Online bookings for child restraint installations are available at all stores. Please note, we don't accept same day online bookings. If you require a same day service, please contact your local store directly to check their installation availability.

Depending on how many seats you require to be installed, our current pricing for this service is:

  • Single Seat appointment = Monday to Sunday $54

  • Two Seat appointment = $95

  • Three Seat appointment = $139

For your peace of mind, and for your child’s safety, our Baby Bunting Child Restraint Technicians and in-store team members have adopted the following installation principles:

  • We believe that infants should be in a rear facing child restraint for as long as possible.

  • We will not install a child restraint in forward facing mode until the child meets the first height marker AND is over 12 months old.

  • If the child restraint has extended rear facing mode, the child restraint should be kept rear facing until the child has reached the highest rear facing height marker.

  • We recommend that a child travel in a restraint with an internal harness for as long as possible, even if aged 4 years or older.

  • A child must be at least 4 years AND meet the minimum height marker before using a booster.

  • We recommend that a child stays in a booster until they are taller than 145cm even if they are 7 years or older.

  • To ensure as safe a child restraint installation as possible, we recommend that the child be present at the time we install the child restraint.

We install all AS/NZ 1754 standard approved restraints, across all categories and manufacturers such as capsules, convertible car seats, 1-to-8-year car seats and boosters.We are unable to install a car seat if it is damaged, modified or over ten years old. Please check the manufacturers date if unsure.We can also fit car seats purchased from other retailers.

Each car seat takes 20 mins to install, our team will fit, advise, and educate the customer on the correct use of the restraint. Multiple appointments are required for two or more car seats.

Please be mindful to arrive on time or early for your appointment and have your vehicle in the designated installation area to maintain fairness and provide the same level of service to all customers.

SAFE use is a checklist of questions to go through before driving with your new car seat. If you're not sure, you can ask one of our professional installers at your local Baby Bunting store. 

Secure

  1. Is the child seat installed firmly at all points of installation, confirming there is minimal movement at the base of the seat?
  2. Is the seat belt threaded through the correct belt path OR, are the ISOFIX connectors engaged and the indicators showing green?
  3. Is the top tether connection taut?

Adjust

  1. Check the seat is correctly configured for every trip, especially if used by a different child to the last trip (including checking the points above)
  2. Is the tether strap adjusted correctly? Only the slack needs to be removed so the belt is flat and straight across all points. Do not overtighten as this will hinder the installation and seat safety.
  3. Is the height setting of the shoulder harness straps correct for your child? If should be level to the shoulder or only slightly above when your child is rearward facing, and level to shoulder, or slightly below once forward facing. Always check and adjust to stay within this guidance.
  4. Is the harness across the collar bones and hips tight?
  5. Did you hear the buckle tongues click into place in the buckle? Give them a little tug to make sure they don't pop out

Final Check, Every Trip

  1. Have you checked that the child seat is firmly secured with minimal movement?
  2. Have you checked that the harness is firmly adjusted and the child's chin is not on its chest?
  3. Have you checked that the tether strap is taut, but not overly tight that a depression is being left on the backrest of your vehicle seat and the base of the child seat is not lifted.

 

The number of child car seats that you can install correctly in your car will depend on the below factors:

  • make, model and size of your car
  • type and brand of car seat you choose
  • combination of car seats you need for your children
  • other passengers in your car
  • number of anchorage points in your car

The best way to find out how many car seats you can fit is to ask our knowledgeable and friendly Child Restraint Technicians.



Traveling rearward in a motor vehicle provides improved safety in the event of a collision, this is why Baby Bunting recommend an infant remain rear facing as long as possible, within the parameters of the seat manufacturers specifications.

This can be up to 30 months in most current models of convertible child safety seats. Baby Bunting installation principles state that a child needs to meet the minimum seat height requirement and be of 12 months of age before the child is placed in a forward-facing position.

It is important that the child be present at the installation appointment if the child safety seat is being converted to forward facing to determine appropriateness.


Marketplace FAQ

Marketplace is a collection of products that extends our current range. Baby Bunting has partnered with selected third-party sellers ('marketplace sellers') to curate an assortment of new brands and products to better help you in the early years of parenthood.

Baby Bunting’s marketplace items are found on our site, as indicated by "sold and shipped by”. Sellers define their own price and delivery fees and Baby Bunting is not the seller and is not involved in any way with a marketplace seller’s display of comparison pricing.

Marketplace sellers are required to ensure that their products meet all applicable Australian mandatory safety standards.

Your financial details are kept safe with Baby Bunting and are never shared with the marketplace seller.

No. Products are sold online and delivered directly to customers by the marketplace sellers that we have partnered with. This means you won’t be able to find Baby Bunting Marketplace products stocked in your local Baby Bunting store.

The marketplace seller determines their prices without modifications by Baby Bunting. At this time, marketplace sellers will not accept coupons and their products are not part of our Baby Bunting family rewards loyalty program. We're continuing to evaluate this so watch this space.

Unfortunately, gift cards and eVouchers cannot be redeemed on items sold by marketplace sellers. Please note, if your cart includes both marketplace and Baby Bunting items, a gift card or voucher still cannot be applied.

Yes! You can add marketplace items to your gift registry list for your friends & family to purchase. Keep in mind, as these products are sold by a third-party seller, they will only be available for delivery.

If you have any concerns or queries about your order of marketplace products, please contact Baby Bunting’s Customer Care team. At this stage, we will be handling all enquiries on behalf of the marketplace seller to ensure that you get the quickest resolution to your query.

Oncethe marketplaceseller has shipped your order, you may receive a tracking link within your dispatch confirmation email. This is determined by the seller’s own processes and systems. 

You may receive multiple parcels if you are ordering different marketplace products from different marketplace sellers as these products may be dispatched from sellers who are located anywhere in Australia. Some sellers may also nominate to dispatch products in multiple parcels depending on circumstances.

We want to make the returns process as simple and easy as possible for you. If you wish to return a product please contact our CustomerCare team via the contact us form or by phone. Our Customer Care team will contact the marketplace seller and advise you on the best way to return the product(s) and inform you of any further details required. For hygiene reasons, unfortunately our marketplace sellers cannot accept change of mind returns on bedding and manchester products that have been opened. 

If you have a faulty item from a marketplace seller, please select the item and the return reason as faulty in our online return portal. The seller will review your enquiry and respond directly back to you.
